The Building

We are very pleased to welcome you in our historic house, right in the center of Paris.

Easy to get to, your flat will be an ideal “home sweet home” for your stay in the heart of the French capital.

Today, only few individual houses like ours are left in our city. The house was built in the early XVIIth century, in one of the oldest streets of Paris. It is accessible via a private closed and secure alley, dating from the XVth century.

In 2011-2012, we completely renovated this full-of-history-house. We truly cared about keeping the spirit and the style of the house while offering modern and as well as cosy apartments. We really hope you will enjoy your stay as much as we enjoyed renovating it.

Some highlights

Jean Chapelain, French poet and literary critic at the King’s court (Louis XIV) was one of the first to live here. He lived in the house until the end of his life, in 1674. He was also one of the first members of the Academie Française, appointed by French statesman Cardinal de Richelieu.

For years, it has always been a family house only recently was, the property handed down from father to son.

Surrounded by sewing and fabric shops, close to Paris’oldest marketplace (Les Halles) the craftsmen that have been living in the house played a key role in the day to day neighborhood life.
